Rita Knecht

Rita Kencht was born and raised in Jefferson County and has been a dedicated employee of the Jefferson County Circuit Court since December 28, 1998. She began her career in the Criminal Division, where she gained extensive experience in court operations and public service.

In April 2024, Rita was promoted to Payroll Supervisor, a role in which she oversees payroll processes and continues to support the court’s commitment to efficiency, accuracy, and exceptional service. Her many years of dedicated service reflect a strong work ethic, extensive institutional knowledge, and a steadfast commitment to serving the citizens of Jefferson County.

Outside of work, Rita enjoys spending time outdoors. Her favorite hobbies include fishing, camping, hunting, and buggy riding. She values the opportunity to enjoy nature and spend quality time with family and friends while pursuing these activities.
